We collect information to authenticate your account, safeguard community transactions, and deliver preorder updates:
- Identity & Contact Information: Phone number (verified via WhatsApp Cloud API or one-time verification SMS), customer/chef name, and optional email address.
- Meta & WhatsApp Cloud Messaging Data: When interacting with our official WhatsApp business account (+91 81257 26926), we process your WhatsApp phone number, display profile name, inbound verification tokens (e.g.
HP-XXXXXX), and customer inquiries strictly to authenticate your account and facilitate order communications. - Store & Culinary Information: Chef display name, kitchen location, FSSAI registration details (where applicable), menu catalog, pricing, scheduled pickup slots, and drop availability.
- Transaction & Payment Records: Order amounts, payment IDs, and bank account/UPI details provided for automated payout routing. All card and UPI payments are processed by RBI-licensed payment aggregators (Razorpay); we do not store sensitive payment card credentials.
3. How We Use Meta & WhatsApp Platform Data
In accordance with Meta Platform Terms and WhatsApp Business Messaging Policies:
- Two-Way Verification: We generate cryptographically secure one-time verification tokens matching
HP-[0-9A-Z]{6}. Tokens are hashed using SHA-256 and expire in 5 minutes. - Transactional Order Updates: Providing real-time drop confirmations, pickup schedule reminders, and order status receipts to buyers and chefs.
- Zero Selling of Data: We never sell, rent, or trade Meta user data or customer contact information to third-party advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks.
4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Processors
We only share personal data with trusted infrastructure providers necessary to operate the platform:
- Meta Platforms, Inc. / Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.: For delivery of WhatsApp business messages and webhook events.
- Razorpay: For secure escrow payment collection and merchant payout disbursement.
- Supabase / Cloud Infrastructure: For encrypted database storage, hosted in regional compliant data centers.
5. Data Retention & Security
We enforce industry-standard security safeguards. Session tokens are signed using HMAC-SHA256 and transmitted with HttpOnly and Secure cookie flags over TLS/HTTPS. One-time verification tokens are invalidated immediately upon use or automatically expire after 5 minutes. Transaction and order receipts are retained for legal, taxation, and auditing compliance under Indian law.

To permanently delete your account, phone number, and associated records from Homeplate, email us at privacy@homeplate.in or support@homeplate.in with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” along with your registered phone number.
Our security team will verify the ownership and permanently purge your personal data from our active databases within 30 days, confirming completion via email.
